Dale Leroy Beach, age 85, of Baldwin City, KS, formally from Brookfield, MO; passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS. Dale Leroy was born on August 3, 1936 in Onaga, KS; son of the late Elga and Gladys (Nott) Beach. Dale was united in marriage to Barbara Jo Harbaugh on November 17, 1962 at the Laclede Methodist Church in Laclede, MO. Dale served in the United States Army from March 11, 1954 to February 28, 1957. Dale was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Brookfield Masonic Lodge. He was a former member of the Brookfield Elks Lodge, Brookfield Lions Club, Brookfield American Legion, Brookfield VFW, and board member of the Brookfield County Club. He was the co-owner of Beach’s Sporting Goods store for 15 years. Dale enjoyed in his free time hunting, fishing and working on the farm. Dale is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; one daughter, Sherri Bowman and husband Marvin of Kansas City; one daughter-in-law, Christie Beach of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren, Brian Kyle Beach II of Corpus Christi, Kelsey Bowman of Overland Park, Kansas, Paul Jeffery “PJ” Beach of Corpus Christi, and Nathan Bowman of Omaha, Nebraska; three great-grandchildren, Bryse, Xander, and Riley Jo Beach of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Pat Roberts of Wellsville, Kansas and Judy Stark of Brookfield; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Elga and Gladys Beach, one son, Brian Kyle Beach, two brothers, Delbert and Darrel Beach, and one sister, Peggy Beach. Memorial service will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Brookfield, MO. at 2:00 pm. Saturday, March 19, 2022. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Brookfield, MO. at1:00 pm. Saturday, March 19, 2022 one hour prior to the memorial service. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, Brookfield, MO; with Military Honors provide by the Brookfield VFW Post# 4557. Services are under the direction of the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO.
