Ronald “Ronnie” Gayle Biswell Ronnie Biswell, 67, of Brookfield passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital, Columbia, MO. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 6:00 pm. to 9:00 pm. with a Masonic Session of Sorrow to begin at 5:30 pm. at the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO. A Celebration of Life will be at 9:00 am. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO. with burial in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, MO. with full Military Honors at 11:00 am. with Pastor David Blakely officiating. Memorials have been suggested to the Brookfield Masonic Lodge # 86 and/ or the Brookfield, VFW Post #4557 and/or the USS Duluth Crewmembers Association and can be left at or mailed to the Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, MO. 64628. On line condolences and be made at www.rhodesfh.com Ronald Gayle son of Gayle Cole Biswell and Deloma Lea (Davis) was born May 10, 1953 in Brookfield, MO. On March 26, 2010 he married Ozella Crawford in Brookfield, MO. Ronnie served in the US. Navy where he was a communication system technical control operator. He was a member of the Park Baptist Church, the Brookfield Masonic Lodge #86, the Brookfield FW Post #4557, USS Duluth Crewmembers Association, and the Bass Pro Fishing group. Ronnie along with some others (Roger Carr and Tony Bennett) helped form the Bass Pro Fishing group. He was a coach for the softball team in which his daughter Melissa played on. He collected hand held radios and he also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping. Ronnie is survived by his wife Ozella and Cocoa (the dog) of the home; one daughter Melissa Singleton and husband Daniel, Purdin, MO; a step – son David Sparks and wife Canda of Trenton, MO; two brothers; Garry Biswell, Brookfield, MO. and Erich Biswell and wife Christy, Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren; Hope, Mason, and Nathaniel Singleton of Purdin, MO; four step – grandchildren; Carly, Cameron, Valerie, and Blaze Sparks of Trenton, MO; and several other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law Johny Lee.
