Harold Bell Mace, age 73 of Brookfield, MO. passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Landmark Hospital in Columbia, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO. with family receiving friends and family from 5:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will being at 2:00 pm. Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO. with DD Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Saint Catherine, MO. Memorials have been suggested to the Family to help funeral expenses and can be left at or mailed to the Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, MO. 64628. On line condolences can be made at www.rhodesfh.com Harold was born on November 9, 1947 to Harold Belmont Mace and Nola Fern (Johnson) Mace in Brookfield, MO. On December 23, 1967 he married Mary Ann Carter in Brookfield, MO. Harold had worked at Cattey Feed and Seed, Pete Smith’s shop, and Banquet Foods in Macon. He was a volunteer fireman for several years in Brookfield. Harold worked for himself before retiring. He worked as a mechanic and would work on anything anybody wanted fixed and even tinkered on the drag racing lawnmowers. Harold enjoyed fishing, barbequing, and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Harold is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Carter) Mace of 53 years; two daughters Mary Shannon Moser and friend Kevin Harrison of Marceline, MO. and Marla Stephanie Daley and husband Jeremy of Lawson, MO; one granddaughter Tiffany Marie Dyer and husband Butch of Linneus, MO; three grandsons Shane Michael Moser of Laclede, MO; Toby Allen Daley and Bently Wayne Daley both of Lawson, MO; one great-granddaughter Riley Marie Dyer of Linneus, MO; one great-grandson Levi Hunter Dyer of Linneus, MO; one sister Shirley Sue Cupp of Junction City, KS; one brother-in-law Donald Bohnsack of Levenworth, KS; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Harold was preceded in death by his father Harold, mother Nola, and sister Madelyn Bohnsack. Arrangments are under the direction of the Rhodes Funeral Home.
