Jim B Lane

Jim B. Lane, age 60, of Brookfield, passed away Thursday, September 16 at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Jim, son of Gary and Donna (Hall) Lane, was born on January 10, 1961 in Brookfield, Missouri. He graduated from Brookfield R-3 High School, class of 1979. On October 13, 1979 he married Susan Dill at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bucklin, Missouri. Jim was a member of OOIDA, Bulldog Quarterback Club, HOG Harley group and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. When he wasn’t in his semi, Jim was on his Harley, hauling cattle or loading scrap iron. He also loved spending time with and checking in on all his family and friends. Jim made friends wherever he went and will be missed by many. Jim is survived by his wife, Susan, of the home; daughter, Brandi Lane of Austin, TX; son, Brice Lane, of Austin, TX; father Gary Lane and wife Linda, of Brookfield, MO; sisters Melinda Lane and Jeff, of Columbia, MO and Jessica Dysart and Jamie, of Chillicothe, MO; brother Tom Lane and Michelle, of Kearney, MO; brothers-in-law Walt Wood, of Charlotte, NC, Kevin Dill and Tina, of Wildwood, MO, Kyle Dill and Patty, of Excello, MO, Joe Crews and Sandy, of Willard, MO, Aaron Crews & Shari, of Battlefield, MO; sisters-in-law Annette McDowell and Ambrose, of Gresham, OR, Donna Jones & Don of Springfield, MO and Patty Switzer and Bryan, of Bucklin, MO; father-in-law Francis Crews, of Macon, MO, and several other close relatives, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna; sister, Kim Wood; grandparents Gerald & Avis Lane and Ralph & Zeta Hall;brother -in-law Terry Liebhart, father-in-law H. Leon Dill & mother-in-law Sharon Eske Dill Crews and other relatives & friends. Graveside service will be at 4:45 pm Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Bucklin, MO with Michael Shank officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Park Baptist Church fellowship hall.
