Evelyn Joyce Pollard

Evelyn Joyce Pollard, of Rothville, MO; passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2026, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. at the age of 89. Joyce was born on February 21, 1936, the daughter of Martin Otis and Edith Crystal (Monk) Stoner in Indian Grove, MO. Joyce graduated from Northwestern High School in Mendon, MO. On November 20, 1954, she married Earl Eugene Pollard in Marceline, MO; he preceded her in death on October 30, 2013. Joyce worked several years as a nurse’s aide at Pershing Hospital, she had her own cleaning service, and helped run their family welding shop. She enjoyed going trout fishing, deer hunting, and just being outside. She loved to go antiquing, decorating, cooking, and hosting or going to parties so she could visit with her family and friends. Sometimes she would tell a few stories and brag about her boy’s time to time. She will be most remembered for being a kind person with a quick wit, bubbly spirt, and a great sense of humor. Joyce is survived by her son Darrell Pollard and wife Jackie of Marceline, MO; two grandchildren, Justin Pollard and wife Adrienne of Brookfield, MO; Amber Still and husband Lukas of Macon, MO; three great grandchildren, Quinci Pollard, Lincoln Pollard, and Cooper Still; one sister, Nadine Gordon; and several nieces, nephews, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Edith Stoner, husband, Earl Pollard, and two sons, Dennis Pollard and Ronnie Pollard. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Rhodes Funeral Home in Brookfield, MO; with Pastor Tom Parks officiating. Burial will be at a later time. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Rhodes Funeral Home in Brookfield, MO; on Sunday, February 15, 2026, with family receiving friends from 1:00 pm. until the time of the service at 2:00pm. Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO.
