Sue Ellen Sportsman Derickson Teter, age 69, of Macon, MO. passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO. Sue Ellen daughter of Donald Gene and Bonnie Estella (Adams) Sportsman was born on December 1, 1952 in Brookfield, MO. Sue Ellen was united in marriage to William “Bill” Franklin Derickson on July 19, 1969 in Brookfield, MO. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2010. On August 18, 2012 she married S. Allen Teter in Brookfield, MO. He preceded her in death on March, 26, 2019. Sue lived in Brookfield for 60 years before moving to Macon. Sue loved to shop, and like the saying goes, shop until you drop. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and canning. She loved to go swimming, playing bingo and games with her grandchildren. Sue loved to play dice with her sister and canasta with friends. Sue loved her rides on a Goldwing trike, doing word finds while sipping on wine and listening to Elvis music. Sue and Bill even got to visit Graceland. Sue Ellen is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Jackson (Ron) of New Boston, MO; and Debra Lambert (Jeff) of Chula, MO; one son, Matthew Derickson (Valerie) of Brookfield, MO; ten grandchildren, Cody Jackson of New Boston, MO; Caleb Jackson Adams (Zack) of St. George, UT; Colten Jackson of New Cambria, MO; Kaycie Jackson of New Boston, MO; Cole Lambert (Taylor Ashbrook) of Republic, MO; Taylor Lambert of Chula, MO; Brooklyn Humphrey (Julius) of Trenton, MO; Miles Derickson (Gracie) of Brookfield, MO; Austen Derickson of Brookfield, MO; and Bentley Derickson of Brookfield, MO; three great grandchildren, Lucas Lambert, Mayor Derickson, and Roeyn Derickson; one sister, Cynthia Mosley of Palmyra, MO; one brother, Phillip Sportsman of Kansas City, KS; one step-sister, Connie Heath (Vernon) of Brookfield, MO; and several other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three sisters, Cheryl Guyer, Linda Blodgett, and Carolyn Russell, and four brothers, James Sportsman, Steven Sportsman, Donald Sportsman, and Ronnie Sportsman. Visitation will be held at Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO; on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 6:00pm. to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO; on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00am. with Brother Jim Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling MO.
